Ages birth-7 and their caregivers are welcome to come to the library tomorrow, Wednesday May 23 from 10:30-11:30 for an enriching and fun storytime. Melissa Sparks leads the program through motion, music, fingerplays and storytime to create an important early literacy development opportunity for our little ones. After School Art Class

Join local artisan Sue Major as she leads this fun and creative after school art class. Sessions will be Tuesday, May 22 and Thursday, May 24 from 4:00-6:00. Storytime presents to the parent and child important literacy development techniques as well as an early love for reading and of the library. This week’s theme is “Butterflies”. Backyard Chicken Workshop

Have you ever thought how nice it would be to have your own hens and fresh eggs? Join us in the library’s community room on Wednesday, April 25 from 6:30-8:30 P.M. to learn all the basics of raising your backyard chicken flock. MSU/Extension Nutrition Educator and local poultry expert, Virginia Chaffin, will lead this informative two series workshop. This workshop will cover topics such as the benefits of free range, city vs. farm chickens and how to integrate them into a variety of settings (gardens, children, etc.) and disease and predator deterrents. Earth Day Storytime

Join us at the library on Wednesday, April 18 from 10:30-11:30 for a special Storytime celebrating Earth Day. Storytime is an important activity for babies, toddlers and preschoolers. It enriches literacy skills and instills an early love for reading and the library. This week, we will read fun stories about Mother Earth, create a fun craft and plant a seed to grow in the Stevensville Community Garden. Every family will receive a seed packet to take home.
