Library Board

The five members of the North Valley Public Library Board of Trustees are elected by the Stevensville and Lone Rock School Districts. Library board meetings are open to the public and are held the third Wednesday of each month at 3:30 p.m. in the library’s Community Room.

Members

John Conlan, Chair

John has a BA in sociology and graduate work in special education. He is twice-retired, once as an educator and once as a park ranger. He loves cats, is an avid gardener, reads history and runs.


 David Anderson, Vice Chair

David is an artist, photographer, woodworker and business owner. See his work at www.ThisInterestingLife.com. In addition to his duties at the Library, he regularly contributes to productions at the Stevensville Playhouse and helps out with the Stevensville Civic Club. He lives up the Burnt Fork east of Stevensville with his Lovely Wife, two dogs, three cats and several chickens.


Gayle Tom, Secretary

Gayle has a BA in literature, is married to a wonderful man, is the mother of four who are changing their world, and is excited about life. She loves connecting people with books and opening the world up to them. She is active in her church and has been a trustee at the library since May of 2011.


 Joanne Charbonneau, Trustee

Joanne’s Ph.D. led to a career as a professor of literature, humanities and all things medieval. She loves traveling, reading, collecting recipes and replicating them, photography, swimming and hiking. She and her husband snowshoe and research trips in the winter, hike in the summer and travel in any and all seasons.


Ed Harrison, Trustee

Ed has a BA in English literature and is a retired Navy helicopter pilot. He is an aspiring novelist whose hobbies include woodworking with hand tools, carving and playing guitar. Having traveled a good part of the world and lived in Australia and Japan, he is convinced that Montana is the most beautiful place on earth!
